Blocks
Start by
opening a new image
100x100

Then one
50x50.

Fill the 50x50 image with a color

Click on and
hold the mouse button
down on the layer palette
of the 50x50 image.
Drag the layer to the 100x100 image.

XOOM IN CLOSE!!
Click on the
move tool and
position the block exactly in the corner.

Like this.

Duplicate the block image.

Mirror the duplicated block

Then flip it.

It should now look like this.

Close the 50x50 image. No need to save.
X out layer1 (empty)

Click on
layer2.
Right click: Merge Visible.

Now the layer palette should look like this.

Click on the
magic wand. ![]()
Click the magic wand on a block,
hold the shift button down,
(to add another object) and
click on the second block
Bevel the edges. I used Eyecandy.

Invert the
selection 

Click on layer
1 to un-X it.
Fill with a color.
And Bevel as before.

You can add a texture if you like.


Save a copy of
the block in
psp format to quickly
and easily make more.
Add a pattern, tube or whatever you want
to dress it up a bit.
