Tubes

Tubes are inherent to PSP 5/6
Click on the Control icon (I) to display the Tool options box (II)

Click on the 'tube brush' then the Tool Control palette
to display the tubes you have installed.

Tubes can be downloaded from web-sites or made.
Gifs are great for tubes!
Here is a leaf  I got off the net.

Gifs are saved  with 256 colors.
You need to make them 16 mil to make the transparency work.
Go to Colors, Increase, 16 Million (24 bit).

Click on the LAYER palette, Duplicate..

Then delete (it was cut off here, sorry) the original background.

Now when you remove the white background, the new background will be transparent.
Use the wand click on the background.
It is now active. see the 'marching ants?'
Hold the CTRL down, click X. ( to delete)

To make the leaf in to a tube, File...Export...Picture Tube.

Give it a name.
The other setting you don't have to mess
with unless there are more than 1 objects.

There is Ready to use.

Tubes are held

I have a tube that has 4 butterflies. I only want one of them.

Click on the outlined box.
Box in the butterfly.
Hold the CTRL down, press C then V

That will Copy then Paste as a new image.

As the image has a transparent background, you can export it as a tube right now.

Done!
