Backgrounds and Effects in PSP

This is a cute photo of Joey but the mess in the background,
we were packing for camping, makes this a photo some would not use.

But here are some ideas to help you fix the background.
Most require no outside filters.

Ok, this is Joey. Open the image you want to use.

Duplicate the image on the layer palette

I give the image a texture using the texturizer.

And I use this setting.

To get this effect.

Now, erase the area of his face and shirt.

To end up with this.

This is the base idea. Open the image/duplicate/add an effect to the duplicated image layer
erase the person or whatever you want to see clear, then add a texture or effect to the background.
