Lace and Pearl Accents
This tutorial is dedicated
to Charlotte.
She inspires me.
Enclosed in the
zip file are these images,
a pearl and lace. Save the pearl and lace as a tube.
Open the images in psp.
Open a New Image 800x700 (or a size to easily fit your monitor )
Flood fill the new image with the tiled background image BFt.jpg.
Close the BFt.jpg (You will need it later)

From the layer palette, drag the
single image to the
new image. Position in place.

Select the single image with the
magic wand.
You may have to invert the selection so the marquee
just surrounds the single image.
Selections/Expand/10 pixels

Like this

Fill with a color and add a 10
pixel bevel.
I used Eyecandy 4000 Bevel Boss.
Click on the Selection tool ![]()
Draw a large rectangle around
the single image.
Flood fill with a color.

Add a layer.
Add the lace tube.
Click on the deformation tool and position the lace
in the corner where you want it.

Duplicate the layer and mirror
the layer so it goes to the other corner.
Add a layer. Add another lace piece for the center. Position in place.

Don't worry about the over hang yet.

Click on the layer that is the
large rectangle.
Yours might look a little different than this.
I put everything on different layers.

Invert the selection around
the large rectangle.
(If your selection doesn't work correctly...
make sure the Sample Merge is unchecked.)
Click on the different layers of
the lace then the Cut icon
to cut the access away.

I erased the over lapping areas
of the lace
and lined up the curves a bit.
